We've been around since 1993 and we started with a single minded goal of providing tasty food that was good for our kids at school. Every Australian school canteen must comply with the Fresh Tastes at School program which is a National Standard. Each state however, has slightly different criteria to comply with for their 'approved' products. We briefly explain the guidelines and relevant organizations below for the various states.

'Healthy Kids' is an organization based in Sydney NSW. Healthy Kids is an initiative to monitor the products being sold in NSW School Canteens. It is responsible for ensuring that every 'Healthy Kids' registered product meets stringent Nutritional criteria, if they do not, they will not be registered as Healthy Kids approved.

FOCiS Inc was previously known as the Federation of Canteens in Schools and is the peak body representing school canteens NATIONALLY.
THE PRIMARY AIM OF FOCiS IS:
